A Website dedicated to fine Victorian Jewellery; in particular, Jewellery designed by one of the greatest geniuses of 19th century design and architecture - Neo Gothic Architect William Burges.
Until recently, historians and antiques experts could not confirm beyond doubt if many of Wiliam Burges jewellery designs had actually been made into jewellery. However, due to Geofrey Munn's extraordinary find on the Antiques Roadshow, one of the only known William Burgess brooches in exisistance was found and subsequently auctioned at Gildings for £31,000. When desicribing William Burges and Victorian design, Geofery Munn said "The Holy Grail of Victorian 19th Century design, and the highest possible point of that, for me, is jewellery designed by the Neo-gothic artist William Burges who really is the greatest genius of 19th century design and architecture, but he also dabbled in jewellery and specifically made designs for his intimate circle."
